Over ‘n Out ™ fire ant killer is a relatively new product on the market. Its unique formulation requires only one application for season-long control. Over ‘n Out contains fipronil, a compound found worldwide in other products such as Frontline® topical flea and tick control,

REGENT® corn insecticide and ICON FS® rice insecticide. Over ‘n Out’s dual action kills existing ants and prevents new infestation. Fire ants pick up its active ingredient through absorption and ingestion without detecting its presence. The carrier ant then distributes it throughout the colony before it dies. Furthermore, Over ‘n Out is easy to apply. It comes in a granular format and is more effective than traditional mound treatments because its slow-acting broadcast treatment over the entire yard ensures that the queen ant is killed. It can be applied to lawns, flowerbeds and around trees and shrubs. Finally, Over ‘n Out is odor- and dust-free and has no “reentry” limitation. This means children and pets can use the treated area immediately after application.
